Overcoming Odds: Nearly 8,000 children are in foster care in Tennessee
According to recent numbers, there are currently a little less than 8,000 children and youth in the system in Tennessee. The Foster Youth Institute also found 25% of children who age out of the system suffer from PTSD. It also explains after reaching 18, 20 percent will become instantly homeless.
