Names of Paulding County plane crash victims released

The Federal Aviation Administration says the three people died when a small airplane crashed in Paulding County on Thursday.

PAULDING COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) - The Paulding County Sheriff's Office has released the names of the three people who were killed in a plane crash outside Grover Hill on Thursday night.

Investigators say the pilot, Dr. Michael McCarty and his passengers, Wayne Weiss and his wife Rosalee Weiss were all killed when the plane went down.

All three victims are from Grand Island, Nebraska and were on their way to New Jersey.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the flight plans shows the single engine Cirrus SR-22 was flying from Washington, Iowa to Findlay, Ohio when it crashed near Grover Hill.

Flight data shows the plane began to rapidly descend at 5:51 p.m. before crashing at 5:57 p.m.
