Chattanooga, Tn. – Ruby Falls Haunted Cavern – Have a nightmarish adventure for the 10th year of fear through Nov. 2 at Lookout Mountain.

Chattanooga, Tn. – Ghost Tours – Hear tales of the city’s restless dead and open Pandora’s Box of apparitions, unexplained activities and chilling encounters through Oct. 31 at downtown Chattanooga’s most haunted spots.

Oct. 18-20

Blountville, Tn. – 26th annual Top Gun Showdown – Enjoy the fall motocross festival featuring a wheelie contest, jump contest, pit bike race and Barbie car downhill race. The day leads up to the AMA Pro-Am event with a $10,000 purse at Muddy Creek Raceway.

Oct. 19

Huntingdon, Tn. – The Chuck Wagon Gang – Hear the quartet’s clear sound of pure music 2 p.m. at The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $15.

Nashville, Tn. – The Ghost Story Festival at the Haunted Museum – One of Nashville’s most popular Halloween events features chilling ghost stories including the Bell Witch, John Murrell’s thumb and other harrowing tales beginning at noon at the Tennessee State Museum.

Jackson, Tn. – Harvest Moon Gala – Enjoy a catered dinner and dance the night away to tunes provided by the Ed Jones Band. Dress is black tie optional with a Great Gatsby theme 6:30 p.m. at the Northside United Methodist Church.

Jonesborough, Tn. – “Journeys of Women” Art Show – Landscapes, portraits, sculptures and more will be included in this display as part of Fine Art in the Park until Nov. 2 at the McKinney Center at Booker T. Washington School. 

Dickson, Tn. – Banjocats – Hear some true bluegrass music from the Banjocats 7 p.m. at The Renaissance Center.

Pikeville, Tn. – Fall Colors Weekend – Enjoy the great outdoors with bicycle tours, guided hikes and slideshows on the autumn colors at Fall Creek Falls State Park.

Oct. 20

Signal Mountain, Tn. – Hiketoberfest 2013 – Hike to spectacular overlooks, waterfalls and expansive wilderness at Shackleford Ridge Park. 

Oct. 24

Hendersonville, Tn. – Hall-O-Wine Tasting Event – Try six different wines while listening to live music. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be selected to complement the wines 6:30 p.m. at Barefoot Charlie’s Restaurant. Tickets are $20.

Millington, Tn. – 50 Lap Shootout – Racing fans can get behind the wheel of late model race cars and receive training from NASCAR driver Steve Wallace. Fans will then race in the 50 Lap Shootout at the ¾ mile Memphis International Raceway.

Nashville, Tn. – The Art of American Beer – Learn about Norman Rockwell’s approach to making art, then listen to representatives from Fat Bottom, Jackalope and Yazoo breweries and taste a sampling of each 6 p.m. at the Frist Center Auditorium at The Frist Center for the Visual Arts.

Jackson, Tn. – Royal Wade Kimes – Hear country favorites and originals by Kimes 7 p.m. at The Ned. Tickets are $20-$25.

Memphis, Tn. – Incredible Fall Fun Fest – Wear a Halloween costume and take part in the costume contest. Games, food and more are scheduled for the family-friendly event 5-9 p.m. at America’s Incredible Pizza Company.

Memphis, Tn. – Boo! Ball – Have a frightfully good time at this costume party with hors d’oeuvres, entertainment by Walrus and more 7 p.m. at the Pink Palace Family of Museums.

Goodlettsville, Tn. – Ghost and Lantern Tour – Weave through the grounds by lantern light at the Bowen Plantation House as tales are spun by storytellers about what may have happened on the grounds of Mansker’s Station.

Oct. 25-26

Nashville, Tn. – Hauntings at the Hermitage – Experience a safe, spooky and fun time which includes a presidential trick-or-treat trail, potion making, fortune telling and more 5:30 p.m. at The Hermitage, Home of President Andrew Jackson.

Oct. 26

Chattanooga, Tn. – The Best of Rodgers & Hammerstein – Music of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II will be performed by the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra including favorites from “The Sound of Music,” “The King and I,” and more 7:30 p.m. at the Tivoli Theatre.

McNairy, Tn. – South Side Supper Club – Hear this eclectic acoustic group perform some of their original works 6 p.m. at The Latta. Tickets are $25.

Memphis, Tn. – Superhero Monster Bash – Children are encouraged to don their superhero costumes and other non-scary Halloween character attire for fang-tastic activities, prizes and more 10 a.m. at The Children’s Museum of Memphis.

Memphis, Tn. – Special Exhibit: “And the Grammy Goes to Memphis!” – See this year-long exhibit featuring 20 GRAMMY statues with never-before-seen photographs, videos and more memorabilia in conjunction with the 40th Anniversary of The Recording Academy Memphis Chapter and the 10th Anniversary of the Stax Museum.

Hendersonville, Tn. – Spirits of Rock Castle – Enjoy a family-friendly night of storytelling and fun and spooky stories 6:30 p.m. at Rock Castle. Tickets are $5.

Milan, Tn. – Milan Zombie Walk – Participate in the ghoulish event that includes music, zombie specials, vendors and more beginning at 8 a.m. with the walk at noon in downtown Milan.

Knoxville, Tn. – “Halloween Haunts and Haints” – Trick or treating, children’s craft activities and spooky stories will take place 3 p.m. at Marble Springs State Historic Site.

Dandridge, Tn. – “So God Made a Farmer” Heritage Dinner – Celebrate the agricultural heritage with live entertainment, Cornhole, food and fun beginning at noon on Downtown Main Street. Tickets are $25.

Memphis, Tn. – India.Arie – World-renowned and award-winning singer/songwriter India.Arie will perform for fans 7 p.m. at The Orpheum Theatre. Tickets range from $47.50 to $69.

Chattanooga, Tn. – “Brown’s Ferry Raid” – Join Ranger Jim Ogden on the 150th anniversary of the Federal Strike against Brown’s Ferry, the major turning point in the Battles for Chattanooga.
