Dorothy Wishard 85

Dorothy “Pat” May Wishard, 85, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away, Monday, January 11, 2021, at the Shippensburg Healthcare Center.

Born Thursday, November 7, 1935 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Clyde N. Shaffer and the late Emma (Robinson) Shaffer.

Pat’s life was filled with challenge and joy. She loved her babies, loved to sing, and was a great baker. She worked hard to take care of her family and now is at rest in the arms of God.

She is survived by her three daughters, Jody (Foltz) Bishop of Midlothian, VA, Linda (Foltz) Ogden of Chambersburg, PA, and Jeannie Foltz of Greencastle, PA; six sons, Stephen Foltz of Gresham, OR, Richard Foltz of Greencastle, PA, Gregory Foltz of CA, James Foltz of Fayetteville, PA, David Foltz of Falling Waters, WV, and Mark Foltz of Falling Waters, WV; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar Foltz, Jr.; second husband, Robert Wishard; son, Douglas Foltz; sisters, Helen (Shaffer) Ridenour, Mabel (Shaffer) Mayes, Catherine “Eileen” (Shaffer) Stoner, Maude (Shaffer) Welty, Anna Mary (Shaffer) Blickenstaff, Betty (Shaffer) Woodcock, and Rose Agatha Shaffer; brothers, Clyde Shaffer Jr., James Shaffer, and Floyd Shaffer.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagers-town, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Western Maryland, 108 Byte Drive, Suite 103, Frederick, MD 21702.
