Greenfield Police Arrest 4 Best Buy Burglars: Report

Police say a pursuing officer used a high-speed maneuver to disable the getaway van and cause it to roll to a stop.

GREENFIELD, WI β€” Police in Greenfield say they arrested four Best Buy burglars with "a large amount of merchandise" after they tried fleeing the electronics store over the weekend.

According to the Greenfield Police Department, authorities received a report of a burglar alarm going off at the Best Buy store at 4610 S. 76th Street at just after 4 a.m. Sunday.

Police said two Greenfield squad cars sped to the scene, and saw the suspects' vehicle leaving the back of the store. Police tried to conduct a traffic stop on the getaway van, only to have it flee Best Buy with the suspect and stolen merchandise inside.

According to police, four men, 18, 19, 33 and 41 years old, were all arrested. Police say some of the suspects were still wearing face masks and gloves.
