Bellevue Jazz and Blues Festival streaming free for five evenings

Over 20 artists will perform in early October

Bellevue Downtown Association’s Jazz & Blues Festival is becoming a Music Series, as it moves to virtual this October during the pandemic.

Broadcasted from the Resonance Theater in downtown Bellevue, the free evening performances will be streamed for five nights, Oct. 5 to Oct. 9. Over 20 performances will be available throughout the week, with four live performances each night.

Mike Ogliore, VP of Events at the Bellevue Downtown Association, stated in a release that his team worked to brainstorm a new way to celebrate together instead of simply canceling the event. He said it was about keeping spirits high while keeping the community safe.

“We knew we had to get creative in how we reimagined the event for this year,” Ogliore stated. “We wanted to support our local musicians, especially now, while still giving folks a signature event experience they can enjoy from home.”

This year’s online lineup will include a variety of sounds, including: Stacy Jones Band, Eugenie Jones, Ben Hunter & Joe Seamons, LaVon Hardison Trio and Lady A. Headlining artists are selected in collaboration with John Gilbreath, executive director of Earshot Jazz. Full lineup is available here.
