California company Dosist dials up precise delivery system with $1 cannabis tablets
“Our brand is precision — we don’t like to tell people to just bite something in half to get a certain dose or whatever"

Dosist is proving that a dollar still goes a pretty long way.
The company has just released the Dose Dial, a new product that takes the uncertainty out of using cannabis by guaranteeing that each of its peppermint-flavoured tablet holds precise amount of the drug. The packs of 30 3.7 mg tablets, which retail for US$30, were also clearly designed for adults concerned about not overdoing it.
“We didn’t want to go the gummy, candy or brownie routes, where it’s pretty clear you’re targeting kids and have no means of dose precision,” Gunner Winston, CEO of Dosist, told Gear Patrol. “Our brand is precision — we don’t like to tell people to just bite something in half to get a certain dose or whatever.”
The dissolvable tablets are absorbed by the process of sublingual consumption (under the tongue), which the company said ensures a consistent amount of cannabis makes it into the bloodstream each time.
Research has shown that this process allows for more of the drug to be absorbed into the system than through the traditional digestive tract route, said Winston. The company’s decision to focus on precision dosing over getting its consumers as high as possible has even factored into the product’s packaging, which is tedious to open.
“We’re not a brand for stoners,” Winston said. “Our products aren’t for that market.”
What their products can be, however, is a safe way to consume cannabis for consumers wary of using vape pens during the current public health crisis connected to the products.
Some municipalities and countries have moved to completely ban vaping products as healthcare professionals scramble to isolate the source of a mysterious lung illness that seems to be connected to black market vaping cartridges. Consumers have been stuck in the middle, left to decide if their vice is really worth the risk.
Currently available in California and Florida, the company will be offering its products in Canada soon.
