Council women talk leadership
League of Women Voters Southwest Santa Clara Valley will host a panel discussion Feb. 23 titled “Women in Politics: Leading the Way.”
Participants include councilwomen Emily Lo of Saratoga, Liz Gibbons of Campbell, Marico Sayoc of Los Gatos and Sue Garner of Monte Sereno. The moderator will be Mary Gardner, the co-author of “Women’s Way of Leading.” She is also a lecturer and retired superintendent of Saratoga Union School District.
The event will be from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Campbell Community Center’s Orchard City Banquet Room, 1 W. Campbell Ave.

National Merit scholar finalists
Forty-five Los Gatos-Saratoga High School District students were named finalists by the National Merit Scholarship program.
