New in town

The Bagel Bar opened at 519 E. Campbell Ave. It’s in the Lloyd’s Square shopping center. The shop offers grab-and-go, custom-made bagels. Amy Lee Elrite is the business owner. Visit bagelbar.net.

The Burger Lounge at the Pruneyard is set to open Thursday, June 7, pending Fire Department inspection of the sprinkler system and final occupancy. The company has outlets throughout California and one in Las Vergas. Visit: www.burgerlounge.com.

Parcel help

The Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint Union High School District is currently seeking applicants to serve on its Parcel Tax Oversight Committee. Voters recently approved a “no tax increase” extension of the high school district’s $49/parcel tax. As part of the district’s commitment to accountability and transparency, the district has created an independent citizens’ Oversight Committee which annually reviews the district’s compliance with the terms of Measure A. The committee includes parents/guardians and community members. Applications are available now via the district website. Individuals may also stop by the Superintendent’s Office at 17421 Farley Road West, Los Gatos or email jmarashian@lgsuhsd.org to obtain an application. All applications are due by June 29 at 4 p.m. Applications will be reviewed by the LGSUHSD Board of Trustees at their July 31 meeting. Visit lgsuhsd.org for more details.
