Doña Ana 2019 calendars on sale

Our Lady of Purification Catholic Church, 5525 Cristo Rey St. in the village of Doña Ana, hosted its annual fiesta Sunday, Aug. 12. The fiesta, which celebrated the church’s feast day of its patron saint, Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria (Our Lady of Purification), lit up the whole historic plaza and church the night before to prepare the community for the festivities.

LAS CRUCES - The village of Doña Ana will have 2019 calendars for sale during a reception from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 at the De La O Center Visitors Center. 

The center, 5298 Cristo Rey Street, is at the northeast corner of Cristo Rey and Joe Gutierrez streets in the unincorporated village just north of Las Cruces. The De La O Center is one block south of the historic Our Lady of Purification Catholic Church.

Luminarias will be lit in the Doña Ana plaza the evening of the reception.

The calendars depict scenes from the village and cost $10.
