Job Description

This position will play a crucial role in developing the technical learning strategy, implementing technical learning solutions and drive learning culture for Visa’s India Development Center.  The successful candidate will collaborate with business, HR, and technology leaders to onboard, develop, grow and transform our technical workforce, leveraging global programs and resources developed in Global Tech Excellence, enterprise and other functional colleges under Visa University organization.  This role will also manage key and strategic external partner relationships to develop and deliver effective learning solutions locally. Key responsibilities includes, but not limited to:

  • Partner with technology leaders and HR to develop learning strategy and ensure alignment with key priorities and roadmaps
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their goals and needs, gain buy in to proposed initiatives and drive initiative success
  • Work closely with the technical population to develop empathy and drive awesome learning experiences that deliver business results
  • Act as a Performance Consultant and participate in strategic conversations with subject matter experts (SMEs) and technology and business leaders to identify and define performance issues translate issues into learning vs. non-learning solutions. Obtain stakeholder commitment for developing and delivering impactful learning solutions
  • Roll out and implement global learning programs including onboarding programs for college hires and lateral hires
  • Identify, evaluate and manage key relationships with external training and learning solution partners to meet local business needs
  • Build and implement a regular training calendar that addresses local needs
  • Evaluate success of programs using Kirkpatrick’s level 1-4 metrics
  • Conduct ongoing benchmarking against external best practices, to ensure programs are competitive and effective
  • Develop strategies and support local learning events to promote learning culture in the organization
  • Collaborate with the global Technical Excellence and Visa University to leverage existing resource and influence future offerings
  • Lead one or more of the global Tech College initiatives targeted for the Global Technology Organization

Qualifications

 

  • 10-12 years’ experience with technical learning and development in the high tech industry
  • Master's Degree in related field (Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, etc.) preferred
  • Technical background preferred
  • Strong aptitude for highly technical subject matter such as Big Data, networking , security; quick learner
  • Experience working with highly technical learners and subject matter experts such as software developers, infrastructure operations and architects
  • Highly skilled in building external partner relationships and vendor management
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing technologically oriented environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing technology landscapes and product roadmaps
  • Proven ability to deliver training programs using ILT, virtual ILT, eLearning applications, social media platforms, mobile technology and video.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and consult with senior leaders, business partners, internal customers, and colleagues to drive business results.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), consulting, stakeholder management, relationship management and influencing skills at all levels in an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and change to improve efficiencies and the effectiveness of learning solutions.
