A Perry woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Jefferson County, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 6:23 p.m. on US-24 highway at Thompsonville Road. The location was about 2 miles west of Perry.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2005 Chevrolet Impala that was eastbound on US-24 made a left turn in front of a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck.

The patrol said the pickup truck then struck the Impala.

The driver of the Impala, identified as Patricia M. Alexander, 73, of Perry, was reported to have serious injuries. The patrol said Alexander, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.

The driver of the Silverado, Hector Del Real, 35, and a passenger, Jorge Morales-Martinez, 23, both of Topeka, were reported to have possible injuries. The patrol said both men, who were wearing their seat belt, went to the hospital by private vehicle.
