Cops: Man reportedly jumped by 3 suspects, robbed of carry-out food

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A man told police that he was jumped and robbed of Chinese food by three men in St. George.

The 28-year-old man was heading home and walking on the 200 block of Hamilton Avenue when he was accosted by a group of three males at about 8:50 p.m. on Monday, according to a spokesman for the NYPD.

The suspects hit the victim in the head and threatened to stab him if he didn’t provide any money. They took about $15 in takeout food that the victim was carrying and then fled, according to the police spokesman.

The victim wasn’t transported to the hospital, according to police.

The police spokesman described the suspects as Black, but a more detailed description was not yet available from police.
