Man wanted in St. Augustine for sexual battery of a minor arrested in Suwannee County

A man wanted in St. Augustine for sexual battery of a minor was arrested in McAlpin, Florida with the help of the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday.

Hunter Dylan Jones Buck (26) is accused of breaking into a home in St. Augustine and raping a 13-year-old girl before fleeing on Jan. 19.

He also communicated with the teenager through social media prior to the incident, attempting to meet with the victim.

According to the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office, Buck was found at a residence in the 15300 block of County Road 252. Buck had cut off his ankle monitor.

Along with the Suwannee County Sheriff’s office, the U.S. Marshall Fugitive Task Force and the Florida Highway Patrol also assisted in the capture of Buck.

Buck has been arrested before on charges of robbery and probation violation.
