Katharine McPhee is prepping for her walk down the aisle with a little help from her future stepdaughter.
“Wedding dress fittings today with @jordiefos! It was such a happy day,” McPhee, 34, captioned a photo of herself in a white gown and veil on Instagram. She clarified that the pictured dress wasn’t the one she chose, and that she “just wanted to share” the experience.
Jordan Foster is the stylist daughter of McPhee’s fiancé, David Foster, 69, and seemingly helped the “Waitress” star pick out the extra-long veil and backless gown she’s wearing in the photo. From the looks of it, McPhee is going for a simple, sexy look on her big day.
The former “American Idol” contestant clearly has a great relationship with her future stepchildren. Foster has five daughters; Jordan is the youngest at 32, while his oldest, Allison, is 48. The two middle daughters, Sara, 37, and Erin, 36, often tease their father’s much younger fiancée on social media.
“I think we’re too old to be bridesmaids,” Erin told Page Six Style in September. “Honestly, I’d rather be the ring bearer.” Sister Sara chimed in: “And I’d like to be the flower girl.” The two also said that they are game to help plan the nuptials in any way and “love” McPhee.
Amy Foster, 44, defended her father from critics of his relationship with McPhee shortly after the couple announced their engagement. “I know that some people have been hating on that relationship. All I can tell you is it absolutely works when you see them together. It’s love,” Amy said in July. “The haters [can] shut the f—k up because they are perfect for each other.”
Foster proposed in July while the couple was on vacation in Italy, presenting McPhee with a six-figure engagement ring.
This will be McPhee’s second marriage; she was previously married to Nick Cokas (and Foster even performed at the reception). Foster, who was most recently married to “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Yolanda Hadid, will be saying “I do” for the fifth time. They have not publicly announced their wedding date.
