Four coronavirus outbreaks reported at Boulder County assisted-living facilities

Jan. 19—Four coronavirus outbreaks were recently reported at assisted-living facilities in Boulder County.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment releases its COVID-19 outbreak data every Wednesday.

The most recent outbreak was determined at AltaVita Assisted Living in Longmont on Jan. 7. It involved two resident cases and three staff member cases, according to CDPHE data.

Officials with the facility did not respond to requests for comment before publication Tuesday.

This is the first outbreak reported by the state at AltaVita Assisted Living.

A separate COVID-19 outbreak was determined just days before — Jan. 4 — at AltaVita Memory Care Centre in Longmont. The outbreak involved four staff member cases.

This is the third COVID-19 outbreak reported at the memory care center, according to CDPHE data.

On Jan. 6, a COVID-19 outbreak was reported at The Peaks at Old Laramie Trail Assisted Living and Memory Care in Lafayette. It involved five resident cases and six staff member cases.

Officials with the facility did not respond to requests for comment before publication Tuesday.

This is the second COVID-19 outbreak reported by the state at The Peaks at Old Laramie Trail Assisted Living and Memory Care, according to CDPHE data.

The fourth recent outbreak was reported at the Mary Sandoe House in Boulder. It involved one resident and three staff member cases, according to state data.

Officials with the Mary Sandoe House did not respond to requests for comment before publication Tuesday.

This is the first outbreak reported at the Mary Sandoe House, according to CDPHE data.

One previously reported COVID-19 outbreak has been resolved.

The outbreak at the Life Care Center of Longmont was determined Nov. 9. It was resolved Dec. 18 with five staff member cases, according to CDPHE data.

According to state data, 21 previously reported COVID-19 outbreaks are still active.
