Releases at Pipestem Dam to increase to 600 cfs by June 17

Jun. 16—JAMESTOWN — Releases at Pipestem Dam will increase from 400 cubic feet per second to 600 cfs by Friday morning, June 17, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Releases at Pipestem increased to 500 cfs Thursday morning, June 16, and will increase by another 100 cfs on Friday morning.

The water levels at Pipestem Reservoir are at 1,475.4 feet above mean sea level. Water levels at Jamestown Reservoir are at 1,441.2 feet above mean sea level.

The highest the water level has ever been at Pipestem was 1,492 feet AMSL in 2009. The water level at Jamestown Reservoir was 1,454 feet AMSL in 2009.

Releases at Jamestown Reservoir will stay at 800 cfs.
