SPRINGFIELD, PA — The most recent crime blotter from Springfield Township Police is out, and all the details are here.

Incidents covered in the blotter occurred in the township between Aug. 12 and Aug. 18.

Aug. 12, 8:55 a.m.
A resident of the 500 block Kennerly Road reported that sometime overnight his house was struck by thrown eggs damaging his roof and front door.

Aug. 12, 2:31 p.m.
Jacquelyn Marshall, 57, of Clinton, Maryland, was arrested and charged with Retail Theft after being observed at Clothes Mentor 700 block West Sproul Road removing the tags from jewelry and concealing the jewelry in her purse. The jewelry was valued at over $30. She was released.

Aug. 13, 3:30 p.m.
Eric Kamara, 20, of Darby, was arrested and charged with Bad Checks and Access Device Fraud after police stopped him outside the Citadel Bank 900 block West Sproul Road attempting to cash a fraudulent check. Kamara tried to deposit a fraudulent check at the outside ATM and then cash it inside. He was held for arraignment.

Aug. 15, 4:27 p.m.
Officers investigated a crash involving a vehicle which struck the rear of a stopped vehicle on State Road near Collins Drive The driver of the striking vehicle, a 51-year-old male from Drexel Hill, was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for DUI. He submitted to a blood test and was released to family with charges for DUI pending.

Aug. 15, 4:33 p.m.
Several vehicles parked at Rolling Green Apartments had smiley faces painted on them sometime overnight. Detective Devaney is investigating.

Aug. 15, 6:32 p.m.
Target security at the mall reported observing a female select a baby swing from the infant section and place it in a cart. She then pushed the cart out the door not paying for the swing. Naadira King, 32, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody and charged with Retail Theft. She was held for arraignment.

Aug. 16, 5:56 a.m.
A resident of the 400 block Wayne Avnue reported her Honda was stolen from the driveway sometime overnight. Investigation revealed two subjects were observed in the driveway sometime during the overnight hours, but it is unknown how the vehicle was stolen. Det. Nutley is investigating.

Aug. 17, 9:39 p.m.
Two vehicles were broken into by smashing a window to gain entry in the parking lot of Bertucci’s 900 block Baltimore Pike Purses from inside the vehicles were taken.

Aug 18, 9:08 a.m.
While on patrol, Ofc. Boyd made contact with two subjects at the Days Inn who had exited a vehicle parked in the rear of the property. Investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen from Philadelphia by one of the subjects. Philadelphia PD confirmed the vehicle was stolen by Christina Hopkins, 30, of Philadelphia, on Aug. 17. Hopkins was taken into custody and charged with Receiving Stolen Property. She was held for arraignment.

Aug. 18, 10:15 a.m.
A resident of the 100 block Grandview Road reported a smiley face spray painted on the front of his house which occurred sometime overnight.
