Akron could not overcome Lone Star in 48-43 loss on Thursday.

Alivia Weathers lead Lone Star with 17 points scored while also recording nine rebounds and one assist. Alison Davis recorded a double-double, scoring 14 points and collecting 10 rebounds.

Akron was paced in scoring by Bailee Clarkson who accounted for 24 points. Quincy Basler aided the effort by chipping in 15 points.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Lone Star hosting Bethune and Akron taking on Caliche.
