HANSEN Hansen, Elaine Geraldine (Miller), 81, of Laurel Park, NC died April 2, 2002 at Mission St. Josephs Hospital in Asheville. Born August 4, 1920 in Duluth, MN she moved to Columbus, OH in 1933 and lived there until 1943 when she met her husband, Robert Edward Hansen, a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. They were married on May 3 of that year and settled in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where they raised six children, all boys. Her connection to family, friends, and community energized her life. An active community volunteer, she donated her time to the Junior League, March of Dimes, Easter Seals, Saint Anthony School and other civic activities. She is survived by her husband Robert, five sons and nine grandchildren: Jan, wife Claire, son Ethan, daughter Francesca of Delray Beach, FL, Robin (dec.) son Jason (dec.), daughter Kirsten of Richmond, VA, Mark, sons Bret & John, daughters Kallie & Maddie of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Paul of Laurel Park; Steve, wife Julie, son Andrew, daughter Allison of Fredericksburg, VA; and Leo, wife Marie of Ft. Lauderdale. Her family remembers that she always made choices that involved sacrifice, loyalty, service, and love. LONGEILL Longeill, Carolynn E., 81 of Lauderdale Lakes passed away Saturday, March 30, 2002. A 40 year resident coming from Long Island, NY. She was the first women toll collector to work on the Florida Turnpike, where she worked for 11 years. She was very active in the community and a member of the Plantation Baptist Church for more than 20 years. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and a friend to all. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. PANDREA Pandrea, Janet Mary, 65, of Coconut Creek, FL, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2002. Janet is the daughter of the late Ralph J. Forchione and, Margaret Forchione, and had previously resided in Canton, OH. A devoted, daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, her kind heart and loving personality accepting of all will be missed greatly by her family and friends. CECERE Cecere, Pamela of Boca Raton, FL passed away on Friday, March 29, 2002 at the age of 45. She had been in the local area since 1994 coming from West Chester, OH. Pam graduated from Bethesda School of Nursing in 1977 and received her BSRN degree from Miami University of Ohio in 1983. She was employed by Boca Raton Community Hospital and was the school nurse at Verde Elementary School in Boca. Pam was the beloved wife of Greg Cecere, loving mother of Eric & Angela Cecere, the caring sister of Greg Scheid (Eugene, OR), the thoughtful aunt to Mich & Christina Cecere and Christina & Michael Scheid (OR), the eldest child of Richard & Peggy Scheid (Hamilton, OH) and the helpful friend to many. KILBY Kilby, Caroline Elaine, of Palm Beach County, previously from Washington D.C. and Herndon, VA, died Thursday evening, March 28, 2002. She passed peacefully, surrounded by love and attention, with her husband Tom Kilby, Sr. and her sons Tom, Ed and Bob by her side. Daughters-in-law Mikki, Monica and her five grandchildren were also present. Caroline was born May 30, 1931 to Mr. and Mrs. G. Brown Miller, the second of four children. She attended Brown High School, and the University of Hawaii, Oahu. She started Herndon Lumber and Millwork with her husband end associates in 1963 where she worked for 25 years. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, involved in her childrens’ activities. Since the birth of her son Bob in 1973 she was very involved in organizations supporting the disabled, most recently. Pathways to Independence of North Palm Beach (4360 North Lake Blvd. Suite 106, NPB Gardens, 33410) to which the family requests memorial contributions in her name in lieu of flowers. BREUIL Breuil, James F., Jr., 77, former longtime North Miami resident, died April 1, 2002, from heart failure at Memorial Regional Hospital. Born in Buffalo, NY, Jim came to Miami in 1959 to work side by side with his father James, Sr., to build Breuil Boat Company. Together they constructed “Habour One”, known today as Maule Lake Marina. Together they designed and manufactured the line of renowned sport fishing yachts known as “Enterprise.” Jim was a pioneer in offshore powerboat racing through the 60’s and 70’s. He was active in the boating industry, and at one time was president of Magnum Marine. He served in the Army Air Corp. in World War II, flying missions with the 461st bomb group, 15th Air Force. Jim is survived by his three children, Toby, Trey, and Tim; seven grandchildren and sisters Dottie Lammerts of Oklahoma City and Jane Breuil of Coral Gables. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Nanette. BIRKEBAK Birkebak, George A., 58, of Sarasota, FL passed away on April 3, 2002. He was born on March 21, 1944 in Tampa, FL. He was a former resident of Coral Springs and Delray Beach. He was a retired medical sales representative. He graduated from University of South Florida, Tampa, FL and was a Lutheran. He is survived by his wife Nancy; daughter Tamra King of Ashburn, VA; son Ted Birkebak of Plainwell, MI; sisters: Karen Brigham of Palm Harbor, FL and Marcia Dahlman of Tarpon Springs, FL and 2 grandchildren. Memorial service at 12 Noon, April 13th at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5659 Honore Ave., Sarasota.

SALFI Salfi, Linda Artz, 50, of Fort Myers Beach, FL, passed away on March 30, 2002 after a brief illness. She leaves her husband Frank and son Aaron of N. Miami Beach, FL; her parents: Ronald and Genevieve of Virginia; 3 sisters: Rhonda Bush, Colleen Artz of Virginia; Mary Schultz of Poland, NY; she leaves numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her companion Phil Story who was with her at her death. After cremation there will be a Memorial Service on Fort Myers Beach and her ashes will be scattered in the Gulf of Mexico.
