Alcester-Hudson 48, Elkton/Lake Benton 36 --  Alcester-Hudson led 34-14 at halftime and had to hang on for the win down the stretch. Logan Serck rushed for 210 yards on 27 carries and was also 14-for-20 for 227 yards passing for the Cubs. Alcester-Hudson had a pair of 100-yard rushers as Jovi Christensen rushed for 112 yards on 11 carries. Christensen also caught six balls for 105 yards.

Canistota/Freeman 48, Bon Homme 8 -- Class 9A top-ranked Canistota/Freeman was never threatened after building a 48-0 halftime lead. Tyce Ortman carried it just four times, but finished with 103 yards and three rushing touchdowns, including an 81-yard score to open the game. Ortman was also 3-for-4 passing for 31 yards. Isiah Robertson and Noah Kleinsasser also rushed for scores in the win.

Chester 53, Britton-Hecla 6 -- Chester Area exploded for 29 first quarter points and cruised to the win. Stratton Eppard was 17-for-24 passing for 296 yards and three touchdowns. He also had 67 yards on the ground on 16 carries with two rushing touchdowns. Ryan Benson scored on a seven-yard pass from Eppard. Benson also hit a 23-yard field goal, was 6-for-6 on PATs and also scored on a 74-yard kick return. Eppard also had touchdown passes to Jovi Wolf for 78 yards, and Wyatt Hansen for 20 yards.

Elk Point/Jefferson 48, McCook Central/Montrose -- After a scoreless first quarter, both teams exploded for 49 total points in the second quarter. EPJ outscored MCM 16-8 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Faith 60, Hill City 6

Florence/Henry 50, Waverly-South Shore 0 -- Florence/Henry ended this one early, scoring 28 points in the first quarter and 22 in the second as the game was ended due to the mercy rule. Ashton Hanson scored four rushing touchdowns. Tegan Sumner and Sam Blue also rushed for a score, and C.J. Hanson returned an interception 47 yards for the other Florence/Henry score.

Gayville-Volin 56, Centerville 6

Hamlin 36, Arlington/Lake Preston 6 -- Jackson Noem carried it 17 times for 225 yards and three scores to lead Hamlin. Xander Sheehan threw for 106 yards including a pair of touchdown strikes, one each to Jacob MacDonnell and Joel Opdahl. Jasper Denison carried it 12 times for 60 yards and had Arlington/Lake Preston’s lone score.

Herreid/Selby Area 34, Ipswich/Edmunds Central 16 -- Tray Sayler carried it 106 yards on 17 carries with a touchdown to lead HSA. Colton Schumacher had two catches for 28 yards, one for a score in the win.

Mobridge-Pollock 48, Redfield 6 -- Mobridge-Pollock raced to a 40-0 halftime lead. Cayden Eiseman was 19-for-30 for 266 yards passing with five touchdown strikes. Eiseman hit Braden Goehring for three scores while Bryston Goehring and Brady Bauer had one touchdown catch each. Gavin Reinert led the Mobridge-Pollock rushing attack with 96 yards on 12 carries. Cayden Eisemann had two rushing touchdowns in the win.

Sioux Valley 42, Beresford 20 -- Sioux Valley opened a 34-0 halftime lead and cruised to the win. The Cossacks built the lead to 42-0 early in the third quarter on a 70-yard touchdown strike to Damian Danzeisen from Parker Puetz. Puetz finished 3-for-5 for 161 yards passing.

Raven Olson rushed for 83 yards on just four attempts in the win.

Tea 30, Sioux Falls Christian 9 -- Kaden Johnson rushed for 100-plus yards and at least one rushing touchdown for the fifth straight game. He finished with 117 yards on 14 carries with one touchdown Friday vs. SFC. Austin Lake and Jaxon Weber also had rushing touchdowns for the Class 11A No. 1 ranked Titans. Lake was also 7-for-12 passing for 122 yards with a touchdown pass to Conner Mulder. Gage Griebel hit three field goals for the Chargers from 23, 29 and 24 yards.

West Central 33, Madison 14 -- West Central raced to a 17-0 lead in the first half before Madison cut it to 17-14 at the end of the third quarter. West Central’s 16-0 fourth quarter blew things open with Derek Eidsness hitting three field goals in the quarter from 31, 33 and 35 yards. He also opened the game’s scoring with a 33-yard field goal in the first quarter. Ryan Healy led the Trojans on the ground with 126 yards on 26 carries.

Wolsey/Wessington 46, Colome 0 -- Marty Gohn rushed for 83 yards on 21 carries with a score to lead Wolsey-Wessington. Keegan Haider had two rushing touchdowns and finished with 73 yards on 12 carries. Tristan Abbot had five catches for 80 yards in the win.

Woon./Wess. Springs/Sanborn Central 19, Chamberlain 0 -- Clay Olinger led the Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central rushing attack with 123 and a score on 27 carries. Camden Jost and Quinten Christensen also had rushing touchdowns for the Blackhawks.
