Retired Holcim (US) Employee Receives National Ready Mixed Concrete Association Lifetime Achievement Award
WALTHAM, Mass., March 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Holcim (US) announced today that retired Holcim (US) employee Peter Deem has been awarded the 2012 National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) Lifetime Achievement Award for Promotion. Deem will receive the award on March 6, 2012 at the NRMCA Annual Board of Directors meeting in Savannah, GA.
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes a concrete industry professional who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication and achievement in support of concrete promotion and industry advancement. 2012 marks the fourth year of the award.

Deem joined Holcim (US) as a market manager in 1982. He was named Vice President, Sales for the West in 1995 and stayed with Holcim until his retirement in January 2010. He continues to work with the company as a consultant. Deem has represented Holcim in many industry associations including Portland Cement Association, National Concrete Masonry Association, Concrete Pavement Tech Center, the Concrete Industry Management program, American Concrete Pavement Association, American Concrete Pipe Association and NRMCA.
