Fairview Township-based Northeast Foundation & Concrete Inc. said Wednesday it is acquiring Keystone Epoxy Systems LLC of East Berlin. Terms of the deal, which takes effect Nov. 1, were not disclosed.

The owners of Northeast said they expect the acquisition will help the one-year-old company widen its customer base across the Mid-Atlantic region. Northeast covers all of Central Pennsylvania, and does work in northern Maryland and parts of New York and New Jersey.

“We plan to expand aggressively over the next five years,” said Andrew Popp, the company’s director of marketing.

The deal also will allow Northeast to offer commercial and residential floor coatings. Chad Hopple, the owner of Keystone, will head up the epoxy division for Northeast.

Northeast is owned by Ian Smith and Ryan Dorsheimer, who respectively serve as president and CEO. The construction startup has more than 30 employees.

With the acquisition, Popp said the plan is to add at least six more employees in the near future.
