SELIGMAN, AZ — A motorcyclist has been killed after crashing into two cows in Seligman, Arizona. Seligman is located just west of Ash Fork along the I-40.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office says 54-year-old John Travers was spotted at a bar earlier in the evening by witnesses, and believed to be speeding at the time of the crash.

The crash happened around 7 p.m. on Fort Rock Road near Route 66.

YCSO says the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet when he struck the two black cows and suffered severe head trauma.

Investigators say alcohol may have been a contributing factor, but the incident is still under investigation.
