Concord Cooling Center Open Sept. 27-28

The City of Concord will open the Concord Senior Center (2727 Parkside Circle) as a cooling center on Sunday and Monday, Sept. 27-28, when temperatures are expected to surpass 100 degrees.

The cooling center will be open during the hottest portion of the day, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., to provide a cool place for individuals and families to escape the heat.

All visitors will be required to check-in and complete a brief health screening prior to entry. Social distancing protocols will be in place, and masks/face coverings are required for entry. A mask will be provided, if needed.
