Louie Thompson
Louie Alton "L.A." Thompson, Jr., 77, of Harrison, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.
L.A. was born in Scottsboro, Al., and moved to Harrison. He was a member of the National Guard, and owner of M&T Chevron for 30 years. He attended Oakwood Baptist Church.
L.A. was preceded in death by his parents, Stella and Louie A. Thompson, Sr.
L.A. is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Thompson; daughters, Denise Thompson, Anita T. (Wendell) Boagus and Debra T. (Tom) Taylor; son, Eric (Jaimie) Thompson; grandchildren, Chad, Kristy, Hannah and Seth; great-grandchildren, Sydney and Troy; sister, Ruby Lynskey, and brother, Bill Thompson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 8, from 6-8 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel.
Funeral services for L.A. will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Grady Dishroon officiating.
Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
