Riding a four bout winning streak, Kopylenko will be fighting for the second time in the Chicagoland area. On February 28, 2014, the former amateur standout stopped Cerresso Fort in the second round on opening night of the acclaimed 2014 Boxcino Middleweight Tournament in Hammond, Illinois.

In his next bout of the ESPN televised tournament on April 18, 2014, Kopylenko lost a hard fought unanimous decision to the eventual tournament champion and former middleweight world title challenger Willie Monroe Jr.

The upset minded Scott looks to return to the win column after a controversial six round majority decision loss to Morgan Fitch on November 18, 2016 in Indio, California.
