Waukesha-based CentroMotion will relocate its global headquarters to Pewaukee.

As part of its recent spinoff to a standalone company, CentroMotion plans to move to the Riverwood Corporate Center III at N19 W24200 Riverwood Drive this spring.

CentroMotion is the former engineered components and systems segment of Actuant. It was acquired by One Rock Capital Partners in late 2019.

The company is a global provider of motion, actuation and control solutions, according to a news release.

The new global headquarters will have more than 90 employees in the 16,000-square-foot space. CentroMotion comprises 2,200 associates in 13 manufacturing and six centers of excellence sites around the world, including Wisconsin-based plants in West Bend and Westfield, which employ about 400 associates.

CentroMotion was originally in Actuant’s headquarters in Menomonee Falls, but recently subleased 12,921 square feet at 20800 Swenson Drive, suite 300 in Waukesha, and will occupy that location until the Pewaukee buildout is completed.

"We ran a fairly exhaustive process and looked at locations in Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, Brookfield and Pewaukee," said Olivia Schmidt, marketing coordinator at Colliers International. "The goal was to accommodate the existing employees, while finding a location and building that could attract top talent. With the training rooms, on-site fitness center and private deck dedicated to CentroMotion’s space, the on-site amenities helped to push this building to the top of the list. As for space needs, rather than shoehorning into an existing space, we were able to design this space exclusively for CentroMotion’s needs."
