Gov. Phil Murphy: 423 new cases of coronavirus, 28 additional deaths

Gov. Phil Murphy released the latest COVID-19 data for Tuesday.
The governor stated that New Jersey saw 423 new positive cases of COVID-19, along with 28 additional deaths. The statewide death toll now stands at 13,635.
New Jersey’s rate of transmission is holding steady at .91.
Murphy also stated that there are currently 888 New Jersey residents hospitalized because of the virus, which is down a bit from Monday. There are 149 patients in the intensive care unit. There are 79 patients on ventilators. This number is also down and marks the fifth consecutive day where the number of patients on ventilators is below 100.
