Record-Breaking Weather Changes On The Way For Connecticut

On Saturday, Connecticut received four to eight inches of snow and now we're looking at major changes in the upcoming forecast.

The record high temperature in Connecticut on Wednesday is 63 degrees and it's expected we will crush that number as some places are projected to be in the 70s. It will be a bit cooler at the immediate coast but for February, we'll gladly take it.

The warmup begins Tuesday with temps into the mid to upper 50s, and then comes Wednesday's record high temps. The temps at the end of the week will fall back into the mid to upper 40s. Unfortunately, the upcoming weekend looks very rainy with grey skies.

The National Weather Service says, "Above normal temperatures will continue through mid week, with highs climbing above 60 from the city north and west on Tuesday and to around 70 on Wednesday. Temperatures will be about 10 degrees cooler across coastal Connecticut ... both days, although still well above normal for this time of year.

"Patchy drizzle and fog will linger into Tuesday morning before some sunshine returns Tuesday afternoon. Areas of fog and drizzle are then expected to redevelop Tuesday night into Wednesday morning," the weather service says.
