Coronavirus Update: New York Setting Records In Battle Against Pandemic

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - New York state is setting records in a positive direction in the ongoing fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

For the 14th straight day, the infection rate has remained below 1%.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo attributes that to aggressive testing.

"We did a record number of tests yesterday, just about 100,000 tests. We test way more than any other state," he said. "We have been reopening for 14 weeks and our infection rate actually went down."
