Craft beer and punk rock festival The Bash announced for NJ

New Jersey, get ready for the birth of The Bash.

A traveling music and craft beer festival, The Bash begins May 11 in Phoenix for a seven-city inaugural tour arriving at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown for the Bash's only East Coast gig on Sunday, June 2.

The Bash is a partnership between West Coast punks Rancid, music event producer and promoter Synergy Global Entertainment, and craft beer event producer Brew Ha Ha Productions.

The musical acts in Jersey include Rancid, Pennywise, Suicidal Tendencies, L7 and Madball.

Craft beer tastings run until 4 p.m. at the Bash, with beer offerings such as the Brewstomper Golden Ale collaboration between Rancid and Ska Brewing of Durango, Colorado.

More than 100 different craft beers are expected to be represented, with the Englishtown options set to include Heretic Brewing Company, High Water Brewing, Bell’s Brewing, Solid Ground and Ska Brewing.

Tickets — starting at $39.50 for general admission and $99.50 for VIP, plus fees — go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, via www.TheBashFestival.com.

VIP guests have access to tastings from noon to 4 p.m., general admission attendees can sample beers from 1 to 4 p.m., and the festival opens to all ages after 4 p.m.

The VIP tickets also include a dedicated entry lane into the venue and access to the The Bash VIP Lounge with a VIP bar, private restrooms and food for purchase. After 4 p.m., all ages are welcome into the VIP Lounge area.
