WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN (WJHL) –  The Tennessee Highway Patrol has revealed the named of a woman who was killed in a motorcycle crash on Monday evening in Washington County along Highway 36. 

The woman has been identified at 32-year-old Nichole Marie Johnson of Telford, TN, according to Sgt. Nathan Hall with the Tennessee Highway Patrol.  

The crash happened around 5:47 p.m. near Orchard Street. 

A THP report reveals Johnson, a passenger on a motorcycle died after the motorcycle struck truck pulling a trailer on Highway 36. The motorcycle, traveling north, was attempting to make a left turn on to Orchard Road.  

Troopers say charges are pending in the crash. The driver of the motorcycle, Billy R. Hale, age 29, was taken to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment. 

The crash resulted in a portion of the roadway being closed for several hours.
