FALLBROOK (CNS) – A man was shot to death Saturday in Fallbrook.

It happened shortly after noon in the 700 block of Convertible Lane off of East Mission Road, according to San Diego County Sheriff’s Lt. Thomas Seiver.

Deputies responding to reports of shots fired found the man suffering from gunshot wounds, Seiver said.

Despite lifesaving efforts by North County firefighters, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies closed the road to traffic while the shooting was investigated. No suspect information was available.
