I'm dubbing 2019 the resurgence of boy bands, thanks in part to the Jonas Brothers reuniting, as well as BTS' complete takeover of pop music and ability to hypnotize young people across the globe with their adorable style and great dance moves. So, in a move akin to Avengers: Infinity War or The Suite Life of Hannah Montana on Deck, how absolutely epic would it be if these two groups came together for a collaboration, creating the boy band to end all boy bands...at least for one song. While there's no confirmation that the JoBros and BTS are actually working on a single together, there are signs that a collab is in the works. So, while you hope and pray that it happens, check out these 5 signs that the Jonas Brothers and BTS are going to collaborate.
1. They ran into each other at the 2019 BBMAs.
Twitter exploded when the two boy bands ran into each other at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards. The original video was posted by a BTS fan account with the caption, "DONT F*CKING AKSNKZKSKSS THIS IS HAPPENING ITS F*CKING HAPPENING BTS AND JONAS BROTHERS ARE INTERACTING."
But that wasn't the only time they interacted during the awards. As the brothers shut down the house during their performance of "Jealous," "Cake By the Ocean," and "Sucker," Joe made sure to acknowledge BTS, who seemed to be enjoying the performance immensely.
2. The JBros are fans.
Even the Jonas Brothers are part of the BTS Army. When asked what performance they're most excited to see at the BBMAs, Joe responded saying BTS. "I'm ready for BTS," he said, with the other two brothers agreeing. "I want to see it. In real life. I've only seen them in YouTube videos so it will be exciting to see them on a big stage."
In an Instagram Live before the awards, Joe also revealed that the brothers' main goal for the night was to "find BTS." Luckily, they were succesful!
3. The fans want it.
Scratch that. They NEED it! The two bands' interaction at the BBMAs sparked a Twitter frenzy of fans asking for a collab between the two groups.
4. ...And the JBros Want it too!
If it wasn't already so obvious that the JBros are part of the BTS Army, they revealed that the South Korean boyband is their dream collab! Back in March, when they were on the Kyle & Jackie O Show, the brothers revealed that while there are "so many incredible artists out there right now" their dream collab would be BTS! "We can't get enough of BTS," they said. "I feel like if we had the opportunity to work with them it would be an honor."
5. It seems like the JBros aren't really on BTS' radar...
So, while Nick, Kevin, and Joe may be huge BTS fans, it's unclear if the reverse is true. Of course, BTS was seen jamming to the JBros at the BBMAs (and they have ears), so I assume they're fans, but when they were asked about who they want to work with, the brothers weren't mentioned. Instead, the band said Drake, Miguel, Justin Bieber, and Kehlani, among others. Side note: I would DIE over any of those collabs as well.
Of course, now that the Jonas Brothers have made it very obvious that they're fans, maybe BTS will realize how epic a collab with the two boy bands would be. We can only hope...
