ELLENDALE, Del. (AP) - Police in Delaware say two 18-year-old men from Pennsylvania were charged with drug offenses after they were stopped for speeding.
A Delaware State Police news release says that a trooper saw a black Mercedes Benz speeding in Ellendale. Police say that upon stopping the car, the trooper noted the strong smell of marijuana.
Police say the search of the car found about 188 grams (6.63 ounces) of marijuana packaged in multiple bags, vials of liquid THC, drug paraphernalia and nearly $7,000 that’s suspected to be drug proceeds.
Both men were charged with drug counts, appeared in court and released on bail.
