Manju Warrier’s 50th film, '9 MM,’ to be directed by Dhinil Babu
Manju Warrier is all set to do her 50th feature film and the project is titled ‘9 MM.’
The movie is to be directed by Dhinil Babu, who has been a chief associate in various movies in Malayalam. The film, which has screenplay and dialogue by Dhyan Sreenivasan, also has Sunny Wayne, Dileesh Pothan and Dhyan himself in major roles.

Vikram Vedha fame Sam CS is the music director of the film while Manu Manjith is roped in as the lyricist.
Most of its technical crew will be from Tamil industry. Vetri Palanisamy, who was part of films like ‘Vedalam,’ ‘Vivegam,’ ‘Viswasam’ and ‘Kanchana’ is the DOP of the film. Hollywood – Bollywood action director Yannick Ben would be the stunt choreographer of 9MM, which has Samjith Mohamed as the editor. Ajayan Chalissery will handle the art department, while Himanshi Nijhawan is on costumes.
Recently, Manju had won the Kerala Film Critics Award for her performance in the film ‘Prathi Poovankozhi,’ alongside Nivin Pauly who won the award for ‘Moothon.’
Manju, who was seen last in the 2019 film Prathi Poovankozhi directed by Rosshan Andrrews, has a handful of films coming up including ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’ directed by Priyadarshan, ‘Jack and Jill’ by Santhosh Sivan, ‘Kayattam’ by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, ‘Chathur Mukham’ by newbie filmmaker Ranjeet Kamala Sankar, ‘The Priest’ by Jofin T Chacko, ‘Lalitham Sundaram,’ the debut directorial of her brother Madhu Warrier, ‘Padavettu’ helmed by Liju Krishna and ‘Vellarikka Pattanam’ by Mahesh Vettiyaar. The actress has been filming for the movies ‘The Priest,’ ‘Lalitham Sundaram,’ ‘Padavettu’ and ‘Vellarikka Pattanam.’
