Police: Lisle Man Closed Door On Officer After Noise Complaint

LISLE,IL – A Lisle man has been charged with disorderly conduct after closing a door on a police officer following a noise complaint from neighbors over the weekend.

On Saturday just after 11 p.m., Lisle Police responded to a loud party complaint in the 6000 block of East Lake Drive. Officers had been at the location earlier and warned the resident about excessive noise, but were called back after the noise continued, according to a release on the department's Facebook page.

According to police, when officers approached the sliding door to the apartment, James R. Murray, of Lisle, closed the door one one of the officer's shoulders and went back into the apartment.

Police said Murray was uncooperative and resisted arrest, injuring a police sergeant.

Murray was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer, resisting arrest, criminal defacement of property, battery and disorderly conduct.

He was transported to the DuPage County Jail to away a bond hearing and has been released.
