Rollover Crash Closes Route 6 East: RI State Police

All traffic is being rerouted to Route 10 South. Closures are expected to last throughout the evening commute.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Route 6 East was closed to traffic Monday afternoon due to a rollover crash, Rhode Island State Police said. Drivers were asked to seek an alternate route, if possible.

A tractor trailer rolled over on the highway, police said, just north of the Route 10 merge. All eastbound traffic was rerouted to Route 10 south.

Cleanup is expected to take hours, police said, impacting the evening commute.
