Cub Scout Pack 370 will teach those attending this week’s Ligonier Country Market about animal track identification and plaster casting tracks.

Ligonier Country Market’s special features this week include the music of the Heavenly Biscuits, a power duo of Lauren Condon and Vanessa Beggs.

LVRx Pharmacy, 211 S. Market St., Ligonier’s new locally owned pharmacy, will have staff in attendance to perform health assessments and answer questions and introduce the business to the community.

“We opened on Feb. 1 and we are a brand new start-up pharmacy,” says owner and pharmacist Susan Anthony.

Staff will offer free blood pressure screenings, pre-diabetes risk tests, poison prevention, vaccine and tick prevention information. “Lyme disease is a huge problem in this area,” Anthony says.

“We will have some coloring pages for kids about poison prevention. And we will have some samples of our CBD cream, vitamins, sunscreen and insect repellent. We also will offer water to help the people walking around,” Anthony says.

Boy Scout Cub Pack 370 will attend to offer instruction in animal track identification and plaster casting tracks.

Visitors can bring their Market Sprouts to the Children’s Garden, where Daisy Mae will help them with a craft.

The market is open 8 a.m. to noon each Saturday through Sept. 29.
