See a house, save a dog or cat.

That's the Oklahoma Designer Show House in a nutshell. The interior design tour raises money for Free to Live Animal Sanctuary in Edmond.

The third annual event will be from noon to 7 p.m, Sept. 8-17 at 13300 Hickory Hills Road, Arcadia, which is listed for $2.195 million with Wyatt Poindexter, of Keller Williams Elite.

To get there, take Second Street/State Highway 66 in Edmond east of Interstate 35; go north on Hiwassee Road to Hickory Hills Road to the 40-acre spread.

J.W. Armstrong built the 7,500-square-foot, tri-level home in 2008.

It has four bedrooms, three baths, two half-baths, six living rooms, three dining areas, a safe room, central vacuum systems, security, underground sprinkler system, elevator, generator, covered patio, barn, workshop, pond and geothermal heating and cooling.

"The 40 acres of rolling hills, pond and mature trees that surround this gated estate home are ideal for a private equestrian-horse property," Poindexter wrote in the listing comments. "The most discerning buyer often cannot find the right combination of home, panoramic views, riding trails, land, location and amenities. This property offers you that opportunity."

Not fluff. I've seen the drone shots. Go here to see: www.13300hickoryhills.com/ (note that interior photos were taken before they turned the designers loose.)

Numerous interior designers lent their eyes and touch for the Oklahoma Designer Show House:

Free to Live Animal Sanctuary, the beneficiary of the fundraiser, is a no-kill shelter. The four rescue kitties in my house appreciate their work and hope you purrticipate:

Ice-T, alpha cat, black; Eames the Lesser, No. 2, black; General Sterling Price, also known as Sterling, nickname Lurlene, yellow tabby; and the new kid, Sir Linus "Waylon" (Boy Boy) of Advent, color and conformation "as common as dirt," the vet said. They love interior design, especially leather furniture.
