Jacksonville Police discover body of missing Ala. teacher

JACKSONVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Jacksonville Police have discovered the body of a missing Cherokee County teacher.

The body of 29-year-old Kevin Thompson was found early Saturday morning along U.S. 278 in Cherokee County.

Thompson was a teacher at Wellborn Elementary School.

Officials say they do have two suspects in custody. One suspect is charged with a fraudulent use of a debit card.

Their names have not yet been released.

Thompson's body is being sent to the forensics lab for an autopsy.
