A fire extinguisher inspection at a West Monroe apartment complex led to one man facing 10 counts of possession of child pornography.

According to an arrest report for James Drew Taylor, age 53, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Blanchard Street Friday on a child porn complaint.

The manager told officers fire extinguishers were being inspected and possible child pornography was located.

Officers were escorted into the apartment's living room where a computer with a rotating desktop background displayed pictures of child porn.

An investigator was contacted and confirmed the images were child pornography, and Taylor was identified as a suspect. After a search warrant was obtained, 10 incidents of child porn were located on the computer.

Taylor was located at his workplace and taken into custody.

According to the arrest affidavit, he said he downloaded the pictures from the internet.

Taylor was booked on 10 counts of possession of child pornography. Bail has not been set.
