Northern New York drive-in forced to go digital or close: In business

Technology is catching up to the Valley Brook Drive-In in Brantingham. Or rather, the drive-in is being forced to catch up to technology.

The 61-year-old Northern New York drive-in will show its last movie on film this weekend. Hollywood has told the drive-in it must switch to a digital projection system, the Watertown Daily Times reports.

Owner Michael Dekin isn't sure he can afford the $51,000 to $60,000 cost for the upgrade to digital, the newspaper said.
