Trinity Pearson Of Hixson Crowned Mrs. Tennessee America 2018

Trinity Pearson of Hixson was crowned Mrs. Tennessee America 2018 in Spring Hill, Tn.

The 2018 Mrs. Tennessee Pageant was held in conjunction with the 2018 Mrs. Mississippi Pageant. Allie Kendall of Vardaman, Ms. was crowned Mrs. Mississippi America 2018. 

Mrs. Pearson will represent the married women of Tennessee in the 2019 Mrs. America Pageant on Aug. 25 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nv.  The Mrs. Tennessee America Pageant is the Official State Preliminary to the Mrs. America Pageant. 

Mrs. Pearson, 42, is married to Eddie Pearson, and they have two children.  She is an event planner.  Mrs. Pearson was crowned by Mrs. Tennessee 2017, Virginia Mulrooney, of Knoxville. 

To qualify, contestants must have been at least 18 years of age, married, a resident of Tennessee for at least three months (residency at a military base was acceptable) and of good moral character. Contestants were judged in four categories including personal interview, beauty, swimsuit and evening gown, each worth 25 percent of her total score. 

The Mrs. Tennessee court included Melissa Bassler, Mrs. Wilson County, 1st Runner-Up, and Whitney Adkins, Mrs. Knoxville, 2nd Runner-Up.  Additional awards were given for Mrs. Fitness (Swimsuit Award), earned by Melissa Bassler, Mrs. Wilson County; Mrs. Photogenic went to Shonjrell Ladner, Mrs. East Tennessee; Best Smile was awarded to Trinity Pearson, Mrs. Southeast Tennessee; Audience Choice Award and Top Ad Sales went to Sarah Dupree, Mrs. Sullivan County; and lastly, Mrs. Congeniality and a special Director’s Award was presented to Quiana Hawkins, Mrs. West Tennessee.

The Mrs. Tennessee Pageant "focuses on the beauty and accomplishments of married women, with pageant judges looking for contestants who are not only beautiful, but articulate, and well rounded.  The contestant’s days may be focused on family, career, civic duties, or a combination of all.  No matter what her age or occupation, the woman selected as Mrs. Tennessee is the judge’s choice for the best representative of the married woman of today."
