Issuers and sellers of disability insurance have come into the 2020 Disability Insurance Awareness Month campaign facing a persistent source of frustration: lack of worker awareness of the idea of income impression.

But MetLife has new survey data suggesting that many U.S. workers place a high value on disability benefits.
The company fielded an online survey of 3,795 U.S. full-time workers, ages 18 to 62, in April.
MetLife asked, for example, for survey participants to talk about “what employer-offered benefits or programs would best support them or a loved one if they or a family member as unable to work due to a serious illness or injury” during the COVID-19 pandemic, or a future pandemic.’
