SOMERVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Nine people in Morgan County were arrested after investigators searched a “drug house.”

According to investigators on scene, Hartselle police responded to a home on Union Road because of a reported stolen vehicle.

Hartselle police requested back-up from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office. When deputies arrived they found meth on one person at the house. That individual notified authorities that there may be drugs and stolen property inside the house.

Investigators detained 10 people at the scene and ultimately arrested nine of them. Those arrested face charges for loitering in a drug house, possession of an illegal substance, and some were also arrested on outstanding warrants.

When deputies searched the home we’re told they found 3 ounces of meth, drug paraphernalia, and a rifle. They called this a “significant” bust for the Somerville area.

Deputies said just three months ago they made drug arrests at the same home.
