Man, 72, Fatally Struck By Train In Pacoima

A 72-year-old Van Nuys man was fatally struck by a train just after 6 p.m. Saturday.

The man was identified as Carlos Lezama, of Van Nuys, according to the coroner's office.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The Coroner's Office Sunday released the name of a 72- year-old man who was fatally struck by a train in Pacoima.

The man was identified as Carlos Lezama, of Van Nuys, according to the coroner's office.

The collision was reported just after 6 p.m. Saturday at 11130 North San Fernando Road, near Paxton Street, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nathan Prange said.

Lezama was pronounced dead at the scene, Prange said.

No injuries were reported on the northbound Metrolink train that was headed to the Antelope Valley, he said.
