6 Staff Members Have Coronavirus: Harford County Public Schools

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Harford County Public Schools reported Friday that 170 students and staff members are in isolation or quarantine due to concerns over the coronavirus.

Six staff members have confirmed cases of the virus, while no students have tested positive, according to the school system's report released Friday, Oct. 23.

Of those who are in isolation or quarantine, 94 are students and 76 are staff, officials said.

Harford County Public Schools includes 54 schools, and authorities reported 54 schools or departments were impacted by the virus as of Friday.

There are 3,492 cases of the virus in Harford County, the Maryland Department of Health reported Friday, Oct. 23, noting 76 people have died in the county from COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.
