DALLAS, TX — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Dallas so you can start planning now.

What: Old Fashioned Fourth of July at Dallas Heritage Village
Where: 1515 South Harwood Dallas
When: 10 a.m.

Get an early start to your Fourth of July festivities with treats from Kona Ice and Smokey Ray's BBQ. At 11, there's an "all join in" parade that welcomes trikes, bikes and scooters to promenade around the village. At noon, there's a special presentation as well from Michael Brundy: What to a Slave is the Fourth of July

What: Frisco Freedom Fest

Where: George A. Purefoy Municipal Center • 6101 Frisco Square Blvd. • Frisco, TX 75034
When: 3 p.m. until fireworks conclude

The city of Frisco does it up Texas style with a day of celebrations, including Taste of Frisco, which offers up tantalizing tidbits of local fare at the Main stage starting at 3 p.m. That's followed by Party in Simpson Plaza at 4 p.m., offering a vendor's village, a classic car show, hometown heroes featuring local first responders, an exhibit with rides and other amusements. Then wrap up the day with, what else? One of the largest fireworks extravaganzas anywhere around, immediately following Toyota Stadium's FC Dallas match.


What: Castle Hills July 4th Freedom Festival & Fireworks
Where: 2520 King Arthur Boulevard · Lewisville, TX 75056
When: 5:30 p.m. until fireworks conclude

Castle Hills is the place to be if you're looking to simply chill and take in the fireworks. For starters, it's free (which is in everyone's budget), and the afternoon features a deejay spinning at Village Shops Plaza starting at 5:30 pm alongside free activities for children and concessions as well as foods from around the plaza. This year’s activities will include the largest inflatable maze in Texas, bounce houses, water slides, a foam and bubble area as well as caricature artists, trackless train rides, face painters and more for the entire family. You can bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs to set up camp around Lake Avalon to get the best out of the fireworks display.


What: Panther Island Pavilion presents Fort Worth’s Fourth
Where: Panther Island Pavilion (Primary Parking), 395 Purcey Street, Fort Worth, Texas, 76102
When: 6 p.m. until fireworks conclude

Celebrate Independence Day with the largest fireworks show in North Texas at Fort Worth’s Fourth. Space out along the banks of the Trinity River (or bring a tube and float from 6 to 8 p.m) at Panther Island Pavilion and enjoy an evening of festival food, drinks, live music and a fireworks show. Gates open at 6 PM and the fireworks show will start at 9:30 PM. Admission is free!


What: City of Grapevine's 39th Annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza
Where: locations include some of Grapevine’s lakeside parks, including Lakeview Park, Rockledge Park, Oak Grove Park and Meadowmere Park. Entry or parking fees sometimes apply.

The city of Grapevine is known throughout the Lone Star State for its beautiful lakeside parks. So... why not pick one and make a day — and a fireworks finale of it?
